Western Cooperative Electric office remains closed

WAKEENEY -- Western Cooperative Electric has announced that its business office in WaKeeney will remain closed to walk-in traffic through June 1.

"At Western Cooperative Electric, our goal is to keep our members, the public, and our employees safe. To help contain the spread of the COVID-19 virus, the business office at 635 S. 13th Street will remain closed to walk-in traffic through June 1, 2020," noted in a news release.

Western Cooperative Electric also provides electricity to Ellsworth and Lincoln counties.

Co-op employees will still be available by telephone at 785-743-5561 during regular business hours for payments or payment arrangements, to start/stop service, to report outages, to request service, and to answer questions.

Payments can be made by phone 24/7, mailed, placed in the business office drop box (no cash, or paid online with eBiz at www.westerncoop.com. Cash may be converted to a money order at the post office and mailed or placed in the drop box.
