Freeze warnings have been issued for a number of the counties in our area.
Once the warnings expire, however, the area is in for seasonable temperatures this weekend, with afternoon highs in the 60s for much of the state, according to the National Weather Service (NWS) in Wichita.
NWS in Topeka has issued a freeze warning in effect through 9 a.m. Saturday for the following counties in our area.
Clay County
Dickinson County
Freezing temperatures between 32 and 30 degrees are expected. Freezing temperatures will likely damage or kill tender vegetation.
Additionally, NWS in Wichita has issued a freeze warning in effect from 1-9 a.m. Saturday for Marion County.
Low temperatures from 29 to 32 degrees are expected. Sensitive plants may be damaged or killed if left unprotected. Unprotected outdoor plumbing and hoses may be damaged.
