$18,000 worth of items taken from storage unit

Police are investigating the theft of $18,000 worth of items from a southwest Salina storage unit.

Sometime between 8:30 p.m. Sunday and 5:15 p.m. Wednesday, someone broke into a storage unit at Storage Mart, 1540 West Schilling Road, and stole the following items, Salina Police Captain Paul Forrester reported this morning.

EZ GO golf cart, beige in color, valued at $4500

Harbor Freight 6500 Generator valued at $800

Dewalt table saw valued at $700

Kobalt tile saw valued at $300

Kobalt miter saw valued at $300

Milwaukee jigsaw valued at $360

Milwaukee drill set valued at $350

JBL amplifier valued at $200

Rockford amp valued at $200

Memphis subwoofer valued at $100

Vinyl welder kit valued at $10,000

Electric tacker valued at $190

According to Forrester, entry was possibly made through the back wall of the unit. The sheet metal had several screws missing and the metal had been pried apart.
