Police are investigating the theft of numerous tools and building materials from a work site in central Salina.
According to Salina Police Captain Paul Forrester, sometime between 5 p.m. Tuesday and 8 a.m. Wednesday someone stole the tools belonging to Alvarez Handyman from a house in the 500 block of South 10th Street. Alvarez Handyman employees had been working on the house. When they arrived on Wednesday, they found that the back door had been forced open and numerous tools had been taken, including the following, Forrester noted.
A table saw valued at $400
Two circular saws valued at $200
An air compressor valued at $180
A router valued at $100
Building materials valued at $1,000
Two cordless drills valued at $300
A finish nail gun valued at $100
A staple gun valued at $100
Multi purpose tools valued at $120
Damage to the door frame was estimated at $200, he added.
