Saline County: No new COVID-19 cases confirmed

Following is the Saline County COVID-19 update for Thursday.

The Saline County Health Department does not have any additional positive cases of COVID-19 cases to report in Saline County.

At 11 am, KDHE reported a total of 1106 confirmed cases in Kansas and 42 deaths. Saline County has a total of 8 positive cases.

Governor Kelly’s Statewide Stay-at-Home order is still in effect. KDHE provided statistics regarding three outbreaks were associated with religious gatherings. These gatherings have resulted in 10 to 25 positive cases each, 14 hospitalizations, and 2 deaths. Social distancing is imperative. During this time of multiple faith traditions and secular celebrations, the Saline County Health Department encourages celebrating in new and socially distanced ways and making a small sacrifice to protect your loved ones.

It cannot be stressed enough the importance of staying home and only going out for essential tasks. Saline County continues to receive reports of alleged non-compliance with the Statewide Stay-at-Home order.
