The grassland fire danger has increased over parts of Kansas Wednesday afternoon.
According to the National Weather Service in Wichita, increasing north winds this afternoon will push the grassland fire danger into the very high category.
Wind speeds are expected to be in the 20-30 mph range with higher gusts. Meanwhile, relative humidity values will be around 20 percent.
Outdoor burning is highly discouraged this afternoon.
