MANKATO -- The Jewell County Health Department announced today a second confirmed case of COVID-19 in the county.
The case identified in Jewell County is a male over the age of 70 who was in close contact with a positive COVID-19 case outside of Jewell County, a news release from the Jewell County Health Department noted. The man in Jewell County is maintaining in-home isolation and is stable, according to the release.
"Jewell County Health Department is working to identify any close contacts of the individual and those who were exposed will be contacted as soon as possible. We will be monitoring these contacts for fever and respiratory symptoms," the release noted.
