SFD, YMCA offering free CPR webinar Thursday

In these virtual times, the Salina Fire Department and Salina Family YMCA are teaming up for a free CPR webinar.

The webinar is scheduled for 1:30-2 p.m. Thursday via Zoom. Persons participating will need to have access to a computer with a webcam that has a microphone. Space is limited, so interested persons are asked to register for the free webinar as soon as possible.

During the webinar, participants will learn the following, according to information from the YMCA.

•Learn to save a life in less than 15 minutes

•Learn the when, why, and how for hands-only CPR

•Learn how to save a choking adult, child, or infant

This is not a class that will give participants a certification. Practice sessions and full course will be offered at a later day/time for certification, the YMCA information noted.
