
Linda Collins, a beloved daughter, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, left this world peacefully on October 21, 2025, at the age of 74. She was born in December of 1950, in Hays, Kansas, to Jerry and Corinne Wilson, and spent her life enriching those around her with her unwavering spirit and love for music.
In June of 1976, Linda married the love of her life, Barry Collins, of Salina, Kansas. They shared a deep bond and a mutual love for music until Barry's passing in June 2023.
Linda was a proud mother to her, daughter Amy Collins and son Robert Collins, who, along with his wife Kathryn Collins, continue to carry forth her values of compassion and creativity. She found immense joy in being a grandmother to her two granddaughters, Samantha and Abigail,
Her family also included her sister Carolee Little and her husband Barry Little of Castlewood SD, and a brother Marc Wilson and his wife Cathi of Manhattan KS and Sister-in-law Mary Collins of Council Grove. She is also survived by Leon and Laura Miller, her uncle and aunt, of Dallas TX. Linda also has 3 cousins, five nephews and four nieces and 10 great-nieces and nephews.
Linda's joy for music was obvious to those she taught during her 35-year career teaching music in the Salina area. Beyond the classroom her influence reached countless students as she served as the Director of the Salina Children's Choir and the Salina Silvertones Choir, As well as singing with the Trinity United Methodist Church Choir and the Salina Chorale.
Linda's spirit was characterized by her joyfulness, positivity, and an unwavering willingness to encourage those around her. It is difficult to recall her ever speaking discouraging word.

A celebration of life is scheduled for 11am on November 11th, 2025 at Trinity United Methodist Church in Salina KS. To honor Mrs. Collins please be prepared to “sing from your diaphragm!”
