A 23-year-old Salina man was arrested on suspicion of trespassing and multiple drug offenses after an incident early this morning.
Salina Police Captain Paul Forrester said this morning that officers were dispatched to the 1200 block of Stapler Avenue at approximately 1 a.m. Tuesday for the report of Jaime Leos, Jr., 23, of Salina, trespassing at a residence from which he had been banned as a result of another case on March 8.
A Saline County Sheriff's deputy located Leos walking near the intersection of South Ohio Street and Stapler Avenue, Forrester said. A Salina Police officer arrived in the area and noted that Leos had a active warrant from Saline County District Court for criminal possession of a firearm, he said.
Leos continued walking and ignoring commands to stop, but eventually stopped in the 1000 block of Stapler Avenue, Forrester explained. When Leos was searched, marijuana and methamphetamine were found on his person, Forrester said.
Leos was arrested on the warrant and on suspicion of the following, Forrester said.
Felony interference
Possession of methamphetamine
Possession of marijuana
Possession of drug paraphernalia
Trespassing
