KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- The Salvation Army has established a new spiritual care hotline to provide those in need with someone to listen, talk to, or pray with in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Anyone who calls will be connected to one of nine chaplains trained through The Salvation Army's Emergency Response Chaplaincy Certification Program. The chaplains will provide a word of encouragement and prayer for anyone needing support, according to a news release from the organization. If a chaplain is unavailable, callers can leave messages with their contact information and a chaplain will reach out to the caller.
Interested persons may call the hotline at 816-968-0497 or email [email protected] 24 hours a day, seven days a week
