A 56-year-old Salina man found himself back in the Saline County Jail shortly after he was released on Thursday afternoon.

Salina Police Captain Paul Forrester said this morning that at approximately 1:50 p.m. Thursday, Ricky Hall, 56, of Salina, who had just been released from jail, was walking along the north side of the police station. Forrester said that surveillance video showed that Hall waited until he saw, and was seen by, a police officer to pick up a rock and throw it at the windshield of a patrol car.

The windshield was broken and the hood of the vehicle scratched, Forrester said. Damage was estimated at slightly more than $1,000, he added.

Hall was arrested on suspicion of felony damage to property and booked back into the jail, Forrester said.
