Herman Joseph Lippert Jr., 92 died March 17, 2020 in Manhattan, KS.  He was born on September 9, 1927 in Clay Center, KS the son of Herman, Sr. and Jennie (Murphy) Lippert.  Herman served in the US Army during the Korean War. He married Julia Laflin on October 18, 1953.  She preceded him in death on October 21, 2018. Herman worked in the maintenance department for the U.S. Postal Service.  He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Clay Center, KS as well as the American Legion. He is preceded in death by his parents, a son, 1 brother, and 3 sisters.

Daughter: Cindy and husband Brian Sholar of Topeka, KS

Son: Tony and wife Janet Lippert of Manhattan, KS

Daughter: Deborah and husband Robbin Spurgeon of Kansas City, KS

Son: Shane and wife Cindy Lippert of Clarksburg, MD

9 Grandchildren and 7 Great Grandchildren

Funeral Services: Friday, March 20, 2020 at 10:30 AM at the First Presbyterian Church in Clay Center, KS

Minister: Rev. Scott Lingle

Burial: Greenwood Cemetery, Clay Center, KS

Visitation: Thursday, March 19, 2020 from 3-8 PM with family greeting friends from 4-6 PM at Neill-Schwensen-Rook Funeral Home, Clay Center, KS

Memorials:  First Presbyterian Church c/o the funeral home
