Areas of rain will be overspreading the region today.
According to the National Weather Service (NWS) in Wichita, areas of southeast Kansas will see the highest rainfall amounts through Saturday.
Snow will be possible in north-central Kansas and into northwest Kansas during mainly the evening hours. Snow accumulations of around and inch can be expected during the overnight hours, NWS noted.
Snow could mix in during the night as far south as U.S. Highway 54 but no accumulations are expected.
