Clifford H. Swarthout, 83, died March 8, 2020 in Clay Center. He was born February 26 in Wayne, New York, the son of Harry C. and Etheleen (Sumner) Swarthout. Clifford grew up in Wayne, New York. He served in the U.S. Army. Clifford married Sandra Smith on September 6, 1956 and they moved to Kansas in 1957. They would later divorce. He married Diane Baldwin on July 3, 1971. Clifford was a heavy equipment operator, small engine repairman, and delivered newspapers for several publications. He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers and sister, one granddaughter, and one great granddaughter.

Visitation: Thursday, March 12, 2020 from 3:00-8:00PM at Neill-Schwensen-Rook Funeral Home, Clay Center, Kansas.
