PHILLIPS COUNTY — Three people were injured in an accident just after noon Saturday in Phillips County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2012 Dodge Ram driven by Wade Cecil Fitzgerald Haskett, 32, Agra, was westbound on U.S. 36 at the 183 Junction on the east edge of Phillipsburg.
The Dodge turned in front of a 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee driven by Steven Edward Sherrick, 52, Abilene. The Jeep struck the Dodge on the passenger side.
EMS transported Sherrick and passengers in the Jeep, Tristan Taylor, 11, and Twila Taylor, 5, both of Phillipsburg, to the Phillips County Hospital. Haskett and a 78-year-old passenger in the Dodge were not injured. All five were properly restrained at the time of the accicdent, according to the KHP.
