The Saline County Sheriff's Office is investigating a burglary northwest of Salina in which more than $1,800 worth of cash and items were stolen.
Saline County Sheriff Roger Soldan said this morning that the couple who live in the residence in the 3400 block of North Muir Road returned home Wednesday afternoon after being away for several days and discovered that someone had stolen the following.
$350 in cash
A wedding ring with a solitaire diamond valued at $850
An anniversary band with four to five small diamonds valued at $450
A Republic Arms 25 caliber semi-automatic pistol valued at $175
Soldan said there was no damage to the residence.
