Police are investigating an alleged aggravated battery case after a man with two stab wounds showed up in the Salina Regional Health Center (SRHC) emergency room Wednesday morning.
Salina Police Captain Paul Forrester said this morning that officers were dispatched to the SRHC emergency room at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday for the report of a man who was stabbed. When they arrived at SRHC, they found a 24-year-old Salina man who had two stab wounds to the torso, Forrester said. The man was later taken into surgery to repair his wounds, Forrester explained.
The only information the man told police was that he was somewhere on South Ninth Street when he was attacked from behind by a white male who was approximately six feet tall and wearing a black hoodie and black pants, Forrester said.
