On Monday, Feb. 24, 2020, the Saline County Sheriff’s Office responded to the 100 block of South Highland Avenue in the City of Assaria for a report of a stolen Mutual Telephone Company van.
The work van was stolen sometime between the hours of 3:30 a.m. and 4:30 a.m. Unknown suspect(s) abandoned the van several miles away and it was recovered by law enforcement. Tools, equipment, and a Dell Laptop were taken from the van. Total loss & damage is estimated to be in excess of $2,000.
