CLEVELAND -- Fort Hays State University had 100 student-athletes named as recipients of the D2ADA Academic Achievement Award for the 2019-20 academic year.
In order for a student-athlete to receive the honor, the athletic director of the NCAA Division II institution must be a current dues paying member of the D2ADA.
To earn the honor, student-athletes must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or higher on a 4.0 scale, attended a minimum of two years (four semesters) of college level work, and be an active member of an intercollegiate team during his/her last academic year.
Fort Hays State ranked second among 11 MIAA schools that turned in submissions to D2ADA. FHSU and Central Missouri were the only two schools to have 100 or more student-athletes on the list.
