Robert “Bob” K. Kiser, 81, Salina, was born December 14, 1938 in rural Cloud County Kansas and died February 19, 2020 at his home.
Raised in the Delphos community graduated in 1956 a Delphos Maroon attended Kansas State University then graduating with a bachelor’s degree from Emporia State University.
Bob worked as a schoolteacher, coach, farmer, and retired from Exide Industries as a battery operator. Bob married Nancy Joan Richards in Scottsville, Kansas on April 13, 1968. She passed away February 14, 2004.
Bob is survived by his daughter, Cristina (Donald) Scheibler of Hays; his son, Terry (Elizabeth) of Powell, Wyoming; six grandchildren, Chase (Lexi) Scheibler, Augusta, Ky (Ashley) Scheibler, Dylan Scheibler all of Hays, Hunter, Hannah, and Noah Kiser all of Powell, Wyoming; four great grandchildren, Emma, Kaycee, Charli, and Remington; and his sister, Phyllis Maxine Shivers of Coffeyville, Kansas.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Nancy; brother Grant Edward; brother-in-law, Raymond Shivers; nephew, Doug Kiser; and two nieces, Brenda Shivers and Lorri Scheibler.
Memorial services will be at 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, February 26 at the First Presbyterian Church, Delphos. Inurnment will be in the Delphos Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M., Tuesday at Wilson Family Funeral Home, 405 Argyle Ave., Minneapolis, KS 67467. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to North Central Kansas Down Syndrome Society or The Salina YMCA for “Bob’s Coffee”.
