Arrests made in two Dickinson County drug cases

ABILENE -- Dickinson County Sheriff's Office personnel recently assisted in two cases that resulted in the arrests of two people and the recovery of illegal drugs and other items.

On Feb. 13, the Dickinson County Sheriff's Office Drug Enforcement Unit (DEU) was asked to assist the 8th Judicial District Community Corrections at a residence in the 203 South Ninth Street in Herington, according to information provided by the sheriff's office.

DEU detectives, sheriff's office deputies, and Herington Police officers executed a search warrant at the residence. During the search, methamphetamine, marajuana, a firearm, and drug paraphernalia were found, according to information provided by the sheriff's office.

Additionally, Anthony John Sjodahl was arrested on suspicion of the following, the sheriff's office noted.

Possession of methamphetamine with the intent to distribute

Possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute

Felony possession of drug paraphernalia

No drug tax stamp

Misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia

Criminal possession of a firearm by a convicted felon

Also on Feb. 13, the DEU was asked to assist Kansas Department of Corrections State Parole at 811 Kansas Highway 15 in Dickinson County, the sheriff's office reported. DEU detectives and sheriff's office deputies executed a search warrant at the residence. During the search, methamphetamine, marajuana, and drug paraphernalia were found, according to information provided by the sheriff's office.

Brian Allen Paull was arrested on suspicion of the following, the sheriff's office noted.

Possession of methamphetamine

Possession of marijuana

Possession of drug paraphernalia

According to information provided by the sheriff's office, both cases are ongoing and further arrests are possible.
