One of the founders of what is now Salina Media Connection (SMC) is returning to Salina to speak at the organization's annual meeting.

Mike Henry, who from 1992 to 1996 also was the former executive director at what was then known as Salina's Access TV, will be the special guest speaker during SMC's 2020 annual meeting on Feb. 29. The meeting is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m. at SMC, 215 North Ninth Street, and is open to the public. 

Henry has more than 25 years in instructional media and currently teaches in media studies at the University of Missouri, Kansas City. 

Additionally, the meeting will showcase SMC highlights from programs in 2019 and provide an overview of projects, Greg Stephens, interim executive director, noted.
