LINDSBORG -- If you enjoy singing hymns, you won't want to miss Bethany College's Hymnfest: Life Through Hymns on Thursday.

The Bethany College Music Department event is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Thursday in Presser Hall and is open to the public at no charge.

This evening of Word and Music will offer the community a time of singing and reflection. Campus Pastor Amy Truhe will provide reflections on a Christian’s lifelong walk of faith, and college organist Dr. Hentus van Rooyen will lead the audience in hymns that connect to this journey. Van Rooyen and Truhe have artistically collaborated on several Juletide events as well as 2018’s Luther’s Legacy hymn festival.

Joined by the Bethany College Handbell Ensemble, this will be a wonderful evening to come together to reflect on one's journey with Christ and to sing hymns through life, according to information from Bethany College.

Truhe noted that the “hymnfest is simply a time for everyone to get together to sing hymns. That’s it. There will be many hymns that are well known and a few hymns that are less known.”
