Neoma M. Thaemert-Baer, 95, passed away February 7, 2020 in Ellsworth. She was born March 11, 1924 in Lincoln, KS to John Henry Karl Meier and Minnie Augusta (Semlow) Meier.
Neoma was a homemaker and a farmwife. She was a longtime resident of Sylvan Grove, KS where she was a member of the Bethlehem Lutheran Church and the church’s Lutheran Women’s Missionary League.
Neoma is survived by her sons, John Thaemert (Shelley) of Sylvan Grove and Steve Thaemert (Diane Kramer-Thaemert) of Parkville, MO; grandchildren, James C. Thaemert, Rachel Thaemert-Miller (Austin, Katherine L. Thaemert-Johnson (Cory, and Mitchell R. Thaemert (Jennifer Metzger-Thaemert); great grandson, Bennett Lyle Miller; and brother, Herbert Meier (Nancy) of Scottsdale, AZ. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Wilmer and Buz; sister, Della; and brothers, Loren, Victor, Leo, and Earl.
Memorial service: 10:30 a.m., Saturday, February 15, 2020 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Sylvan Grove.
