On Friday, the Kansas Geological Survey (KGS) posted the following on its Facebook page.
A bit later, the ground under southern Marion County gave a little shake.
According to KGS, a magnitude 2 earthquake struck about 10:33 a.m. Friday. It was south of Florence and east-southeast of Peabody, centered between Xavier Road and U.S. 77, just a bit north of 50th Street.
