NWS issues dense fog advisories for counties in the area

Dense fog advisories are in effect for counties in our area.

The National Weather Service (NWS) in Wichita has issued a dense fog advisory in effect until 9 a.m. Sunday for Lincoln County.

Visibility of one quarter of a mile or less from dense freezing fog is expected.

The fog will cause hazardous driving conditions due to low visibility and possible slick spots on some roadways. If driving, slow down, use your headlights, and leave plenty of distance ahead of you.

NWS in Topeka has issued a dense fog advisory in effect until 9 a.m. Sunday for the following counties in our area.

Cloud County

Republic County

Visibility of one quarter to one half mile in dense fog is expected. With temperatures below freezing, the fog may create a few icy spots on roads.

The fog will cause hazardous driving conditions due to low visibility. If driving, slow down, use your headlights, and leave plenty of distance ahead of you.

NWS in Hastings, Neb., has issued a dense fog advisory in effect until 9 a.m. for the following counties in our area.

Jewell County

Mitchell County

Visibility of one quarter to one half mile in dense fog is expected. Freezing fog may create slick roadways.
