UPDATED: Winter weather advisories issued for multiple counties

Winter weather advisories have been issued for counties in our area.

The National Weather Service (NWS) in Wichita has issued a winter weather advisory in effect until midnight for the following counties in our area.

Ellsworth County

Lincoln County

McPherson County

Saline County

Rain and snow mix, changing to all snow, with slushy accumulations up to 2 inches possible. Winds gusting as high as 35 mph.

Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous conditions could impact the evening commute. Slow down and use caution while traveling.

Additionally, NWS in Wichita has issued a winter weather advisory in effect from 4 p.m. Thursday to 3 a.m. Friday for Marion County.

Rain and snow mix, changing to all snow, with slushy accumulations up to 1 or 2 inches possible. Winds gusting as high as 25 to 35 mph.

Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous conditions could impact the evening commute. Slow down and use caution while traveling.

NWS in Topeka has issued a winter weather advisory in effect until midnight for the following counties in our area.

Clay County

Cloud County

Republic County

A mix of rain and snow eventually changing over to snow is expected with total snow accumulations of up to three inches.

Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous conditions could impact the evening commute. Motorists should remain alert to changing weather conditions, and take precautions if travel is necessary.

NWS in Topeka also has issued a winter weather advisory in effect until midnight for the following counties in our area.

Dickinson County

Ottawa County

Additional snow accumulations of up to two inches expected.
