
Betty Cyr, 86, of Clay Center died Saturday, January 18, 2020. She was born October 27, 1933 in Waterville, Kansas, the daughter of Eli and Helen (Mapes) Jensen. Betty was raised in Waterville before moving to Clay Center in 1947. She was a graduate of the CCCHS class of 1951. Betty married Dale Bergsten in 1951 and they later divorced. She married Carmen Cyr on February 8, 1975 and he survives. She worked as a candy striper, worked at Tip Top Dairy and served lunch in the CCCHS cafeteria. Betty was a member of the First Presbyterian Church and the Garden Club, both of Clay Center. She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Michael Bergsten and brother, Wayne Jensen.

Funeral Services: Saturday, January 25, 2020 at 10:30 at the First Presbyterian Church in Clay Center, Kansas with Rev. Scott Lingle officiating
Burial: Greenwood Cemetery, Clay Center, Kansas
Visitation: Friday, January 24, 2020 from 3-8 PM at Neill-Schwensen-Rook Funeral Home. The family will greet friends from 4:30-6 PM.
