Embers from a wood-burning stove are being blamed for an early morning house fire in southern Saline County.

Deputies and Rural Fire District No. 2 firefighters were dispatched to the 2800 block of West Salemsborg Road at 2:46 a.m. Thursday for the report of a house fire, Saline County Sheriff's Captain Jim Hughes said this morning. When they arrived, they found three pickup beds that had been converted to trailers and part of the house burning, he said.
