The Saline County Sheriff's Office is investigating multiple reports of mailboxes being damaged or destroyed southeast of Salina.
According to Sheriff Roger Soldan, the Sheriff's Office has received 14 reports of mailboxes being damaged or destroyed sometime between 5 p.m. Sunday and 7:52 a.m. Monday. Damage ranged from some mailboxes being knocked off their posts to mailboxes being destroyed, he said. Total loss was estimated at $800, Soldan said.
The incidents occurred between the 1500 block of East Water Well Road to the 3300 block of East Water Well Road and the 800 block of South Simpson Road to the 2700 block of South Simpson Road, Soldan said.
