
Roger W. Nitsch, 78, of Hunter, Kansas went to be with the Lord on January 3rd, 2020. He was born to Eric John and Minnie Irene(Pounds) Nitsch on March 6, 1941 in rural Lincoln County.
He graduated from Hunter High School in 1959.
He was united in marriage with Nancy Bartley on June 19, 1960. To that union were born two children, Bradley William and Kimberly Anne.
He worked at Quartzite Stone Company in construction, drove a milk truck, and spent the rest of his life farming and custom harvesting. His hard work paid off when he was inducted into the U.S. Custom Harvesters Association Hall of Fame in 2016.
He was also a long time member of the Bethany Church, where he served many years as a trustee.
Roger was a hard-working, genuine, giving, and loving man who touched many lives.
He is loved and survived by wife Nancy, son Brad (Tammi, sisters Leota Herman (Charles, Janis Oetting (Keith, grandchildren Chelsea Schrant (Jim, Carlea Nitsch, and Eric Nitsch (Morgan, great-grandchildren Addison Schrant, Hunter Schrant, Leslie Nitsch, and Everett Nitsch, and daughter-in-law Tracy Haller (Craig).
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother John, and daughter Kimberly.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, January 7th at 11:00 a.m. at Bethany Church of Lincoln County. A visitation will be held on Monday, January 6th at Roberts Family Funeral Home in Beloit, Ks from 1-7 p.m. with family present from 5-6 p.m. Memorials can be made to Bethany Church of Lincoln County.
