KANOPOLIS LAKE -- The Kansas Department of Wildlife, Parks, and Tourism (KDWPT) needs volunteers for an upcoming trail work day.
KDWPT is hosting the event from 8:30 a.m.-3 p.m. Jan. 11 at Kanopolis State Park. Volunteers will help repair trails damaged by the spring 2019 flooding. According to a post on the Kanopolis State Park - Kansas Wildlife, Parks & Tourism Facebook page, volunteers are asked to arrive at the state park office at 8:30 a.m. for paperwork and a briefing. The group will then travel together to the trails and work until 3 p.m. Volunteers are encouraged to bring a sack lunch.
