
Snowfall totals varied across the region as two counties in our area remain under a winter weather advisory until this evening.
According to the National Weather Service (NWS) in Wichita, Marion and McPherson counties remain in a winter weather advisory until 6 p.m. Monday.
NWS noted that 2 to 4 inches of snow with locally higher amounts are expected across the area today into the late afternoon.
Additionally, snowfall is expected across central and south-central Kansas into mid-afternoon. The heaviest snowfall is expected along a line from Harper to Wichita to Cottonwood Falls.
Areas of freezing drizzle or freezing rain can be expected over parts of southeast Kansas. Roadways are expected to be slick and as such, travel is not recommended.
