Laura Belle Brewer, was born on November 29, 1929, near Latimer, the daughter of Theodore Walter and Mae Katherine (McCann) Kasten.&nbsp; She died on December 7, 2019, at Diversicare of Council Grove.

Laura Belle worked at Fort Riley, in her early years; and a member of the First Baptist Church.

She married Jerry F. Brewer on November 12, 1977, in the First Baptist Church of Junction City; he survives of Council Grove.&nbsp; Also survived by her brother Clyde Kasten and his wife Ardella of Latimer.

Graveside services will be held at 1:30pm Thursday, December 12, 2019, at the Sunset Hill Cemetery, Herington, with Pastor Darrell Geist, officiating.&nbsp; The family will receive friends Thursday from 10:30am until 12:00noon at the Yazel-Megli-Zeiner Funeral Home-Herington Chapel.
