A 24-year-old Salina man was arrested on suspicion of rape and aggravated criminal sodomy after an alleged incident early Saturday morning.
Salina Police Captain Gary Hanus said Monday that a 22-year-old Salina woman reported the alleged rape in east central Salina. She and the suspect were acquainted, he said.
After an investigation, Herbey Hernandez-Rodriguez, 24, of Salina, was arrested on suspicion of rape and aggravated criminal sodomy, Hanus said.
