Eileen (Loy) Nelson, 94, passed away Saturday, Nov. 23, 2019. She was born April 23, 1925, in Beverly, to Leonard and Vera (Painter) Loy. Eileen was a homemaker and enjoyed sewing and gardening. She was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church.
She is survived by: her daughter, Pam Strahan and husband, Larry; brother, Royce Loy and wife, Reta; grandchildren, Ward Strahan and wife, Katherine, Megan Strahan, Sarah Hartnett and husband, Eric, Lindsay Brown and husband, Benjamin, and Michael Hartnett; great-grandchildren, Adelaide Brown, Lily Brown, Maclin Strahan, Eleanor Brown, Cameron Strahan, and Naomi Brown; son-in-law, Robert Hartnett; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
She was preceded in death by: her parents; husband, Darrel; daughter, Jody Hartnett; son, Bruce Nelson; brothers, Stephen "Harvey" Loy and Virgil Loy; and grandson, James Hartnett.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 27, at Redeemer Lutheran Church, Salina, with visitation the hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be at 1 p.m. in Franklin Cemetery, Tescott.
