Multiple counties in our area have been placed in a wind advisory for Tuesday.
According to the National Weather Service (NWS) in Wichita, the following counties in our area are included in the wind advisory from 6 p.m. Tuesday to midnight Wednesday.
Ellsworth County
Lincoln County
Marion County
McPherson County
Saline County
West and northwest winds of 25 to 35 mph with gusts 45 to 50 mph are expected.
Gusty winds could blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result, NWS noted.
Use extra caution when driving, especially if operating a high profile vehicle. Secure outdoor objects.
