Willie Mae DuBois

Willie Mae DuBois, 92, of McPherson, KS, passed away at 12:30 p.m., Sunday, November 17th, while in the company of family members, at Cedars Health Care Center.


Willie was born in Anadarko, Oklahoma on February 10, 1927, a daughter of Esma Ree (Teel) and Otto Lee Parks.


Willie Mae attended a two room school house, Prairie view Country School and graduated from Cement High School, Cement, Oklahoma.


She was a member of Church of Christ in Oklahoma and Texas.


Willie Mae worked for many years as a key punch operator and worked her way up to head secretary for Furr's in Texas. She worked hard to support her young family.


She is survived by her children, Sharri Jeannie DuBois and Alexander F. DuBois, of Lubbock, Texas; her sister Minnie Belle, of McPherson, Kansas; her brothers Clyde Harold Parks, of Amarillo, Texas and E.J. Parks, of Springfield, Missouri.


She is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.


Willie Mae was preceded in death by her parents, her sisters, Morna Ree Parks, Ima Lee Pope, and a Brother, Roy Lee Parks.


A Celebration of Life will be held in Amarillo, Texas at a later date.


Burial will be at a later date in Texas.
