NWS: Chance for wintry precipitation through Friday

Posted Nov 21, 2019 4:27 PM

We have a chance for wintry precipitation through Friday.

According to the National Weather Service (NWS) in Wichita, the potential for wintry precipitation still exists Thursday evening through Friday across portions of central and south-central Kansas.

At this time, the greatest risk of accumulating snow looks to be across central Kansas (where up to a slushy inch or so of snow may occur, NWS noted. With the recent warm weather, accumulations will likely be confined to grassy and elevated surfaces.

This should keep impacts low for travelers, although reductions in visibility will occur where any heavier snow bands develop.
