Police are investigating an incident in southwestern Salina in which racial slurs were spray painted on the side of burglarized pickup.
Sometime between 11 p.m. Tuesday and 8 a.m. Wednesday in the 500 block of Maple, someone broke both passenger-side windows on a 2003 GMC pickup and stole a JVC stereo valued at $200, Salina Police Captain Paul Forrester said Thrusday. Additionally, racial slurs were spray painted on the side of the pickup, he said.
The owner, a 40-year-old Salina man, estimated repairs to the pickup would cost $1,400, Forrester said.
