Saline County has closed part of Gerard Road for crossroad culvert work.
According to information from the Saline County Road and Bridge Department, Gerard Road between Shipton Road and Lockard Road closed to thru traffic today and is expected to remain closed through the end of the day Friday so that the county can replace a crossroad culvert. The length of the closure will depend on the weather.
Motorists are advised to allow a few extra minutes of travel time to reach their destinations. Local and emergency traffic will be provided access to private property within the sections of closed road at all times but only from the half mile side upon which the property lies, the road and bridge information noted.
