Three people were injured in a two-vehicle collision in north Salina late Tuesday afternoon.
Salina Police Captain Paul Forrester said police were dispatched to the intersection of North Fifth Street and East Harsh Avenue at 5 p.m. Tuesday for the report of a two-vehicle rollover accident.
A 2012 Dodge Journey driven by Gerald White, 40, of Salina, was westbound on East Harsh Avenue when it struck the driver's side of a 2007 Chevrolet Tahoe driven by Dora Velasquez, 68, of Salina, that was southbound on North Fifth Street, Forrester said. The impact caused the Tahoe to roll over, he said.
White complained of neck and back pain, Forrester said. Velasquez complained of backside and head pain and her five-year-old female passenger suffered brusing on her face, he said. All three people were transported to Salina Regional Health Center, he added.
The Journey sustained heavy front end damage, while the Tahoe sustained damage all over, Forrester. Both vehicles were towed from the scene, he said.
White was cited for failing to yield, while Velasquez was cited for no proof of insurance, Forrester said.
