Alice May Vogelsberg, 95, passed away Sunday, Nov. 17, 2019 . She was born Aug. 25, 1924, in Kipp, to Peter and Kathleen (Quinn) Martin.
Alice grew up on the farm around Kipp with her eight siblings and worked at Camp Phillips in the 1940s and later for 24 years at the ASCS office. She married Ralph Vogelsberg in 1947 and was a lifelong member of the Sacred Heart Cathedral. Alice loved to dance, play cards, and had many opportunities to travel around the world.
Alice is survived by: her children, Paul Vogelsberg (Erminda) of La Puzunca, Honduras, Marilyn Loy (Steve) of Polk City, Iowa, Jeanne Holloway (Bruce) of Warsaw, Mo., Delores York (Jim) of Midland, Ga., and Marie Vogelgesang of Munich, Germany; brother, James Martin of Solomon; and sister, Frances Holman of Topeka. Preceded in death by: her husband of 53 years, Ralph; five brothers; and one sister.
Visitation will start at 4 p.m. with a vigil and rosary service at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 20, at Ryan Mortuary.
Mass of Christian burial will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 21, at Sacred Heart Cathedral. Burial will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Salina.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to: Sacred Heart Cathedral, or the Sacred Heart High School Scholarship Fund.
