There's a grassland fire danger in our area Wednesday afternoon.
According to the National Weather Service (NWS, the following counties in our area are included in a grassland fire danger for Wednesday afternoon.
Ellsworth County
Lincoln County
Marion County
McPherson County
Saline County
Additionally, a very high grassland fire danger is expected this afternoon across the Flint Hills and part of southeast Kansas.
NWS also noted that a very high grassland fire danger is possible on Friday afternoon across portions of central Kansas.
