Some portions of Kansas have experienced a 75 degree swing in temperature since Saturday afternoon with several record lows set Tuesday morning.

Salina had a high on Saturday of 78 degrees which was two degrees shy of the record of 80 degrees. Tuesday morning the low was 3 degrees, which replaced the old record low of 8 degrees established in 1911.

Here are the additional new record lows established Tuesday morning for November 12th:

Russell 3 degrees. This breaks the record of 6 degrees set back in 1986.

Wichita 8 degrees. This breaks the record of 9 degrees set back in 1911.

Medicine Lodge 4 degrees. This breaks the record of 9 degrees set back in 1911.

Garden City -1 degrees. This breaks the record of 7 degrees set in 2018.

Dodge City 4 degrees. This breaks the record of 5 degrees set in 1911.

The good news is the blast of arctic weather is going to be short-lived with warmer weather returning to most of Kansas by Wednesday with highs in the 50s and lows in the 20s and 30s.
