On Friday, Nov. 18 at 12:21 a.m., Salina Police Department officers responded to a disturbance at the 100 block of S. Clark Street.

Salina Police Sergeant Kyle Tonniges said when officers arrived they discovered the suspect, Isaaq Davison, 22, of Salina, and a female victim, 22, of Salina, arguing.

"At some point during this argument he hit the female victim multiple times," Tonniges said. "He put his hands around her neck and strangled her to the point  where she couldn't breathe."

Davison also allegedly pushed the female victim into her two-year-old child. Tonniges said the child was not injured outside of redness to his cheek as a result of the fall.

SPD officers arrested Davison, however he did not want to be arrested.

"He resisted the officers and pushed one officer so he was placed in a body wrap and then taken to jail," Tonniges said.

Requested charges for Davison include:

● Aggravated domestic battery
● Domestic battery
● Interference with law enforcement,
● Battery and a law enforcement officer
