With wins of 7-2 and 14-4, the Lady Trojans of SES move to 12-2 overall and 6-0 in league play with a +99 run differential, while Beloit drops to 8-5 and 4-2 respectively.

Southeast spread their damage out in the first of these two contests, striking for two runs in the first, three in the fifth, and two more in the sixth, holding on for the eventual 7-2 win.

Lexi Jacobson locked it down in the circle, allowing just one earned run on seven hits, striking out eight and walking just two.

At the dish, seven different Lady Trojans would record at least one hit on the Southeast side, with five more driving in at least one run on the day.

In game two, the bats exploded as Southeast rattled off 14 runs, including seven in the final inning, to run away with the sweep in six.

This time around, five different members of the SES lineup would record a multi-hit day, with Lexi Jacobson and Abby Wyatt combining to go 6-9 with 8 RBI.

Beloit didn’t fare much better against the always-excellent Bryna Baird, who fanned seven batters and allowed just three earned runs across in six innings of work.

Southeast of Saline will have an opportunity to lock up the league title next week when they battle Minneapolis on Tuesday while Beloit gets back to work this evening in a non-league tilt with Plainville.
