Housing, allocation requests among county agenda items for Tuesday

A facility master plan, allocation requests, a rural housing incentive district presentation, and executive sessions are among the items on the Saline County Commission agenda for Tuesday.

About the meeting

Saline County Commission is scheduled to begin at 9 a.m. Tuesday in room 107 of the City-County Building, 300 W. Ash Street. The meetings also can be viewed on Saline County’s YouTube channel:

Agenda items

Commissioners are scheduled to hear a presentation about the proposed Aero Plains Phase One Rural Housing Incentive District (RHID) being established by the city in southwest Salina. The City of Salina plans to conduct a public hearing about the RHID on June 27.

Additionally, commissioners are scheduled to hear 2023 allocation requests from the following agencies.

North Central-Flint Hills Area Agency on Aging

OCCK, Inc.

Salina Area Chamber of Commerce and Military Affairs

Salina Community Economic Development Organization

Central Kansas Mental Health

City of Salina Recycling Center

Other items on the Saline County Commission agenda for Tuesday include the following.

●Consider approving a requested Choose Saline County proclamation

●Consider approving a proposal from 3ten Architecture to perform a needs assessment and facilities evaluation and provide development options and the creation of a space master plan for a long-term county facilities master plan.

●Consider proposed adjustments to the phased plan for the livestock and expo center.

●Hear County Administrator Phillip Smith-Hanes update

Commissioners also are scheduled to meet in the following two executive sessions.

●Non-elected personnel
