Fifteen USD 305 seniors have been recognized for their proficiency in two languages by the Kansas State Department of Education.
Eight students from Salina High School Central and seven from Salina High School South received “Seal of Biliteracy” certificates. Additionally, the recognition has been added to their high school transcripts.
This spring, qualifying USD 305 students took the language proficiency assessment. They had to demonstrate language abilities in video chats, wikis and other tasks. The result was that USD 305 students received 15 certificates in English and Spanish or English and French.
